BBC Radio did a version for Fantastic Tales read by Togo Igawa, where I first encountered the story. Didn't even know he'd written Rashomon until later down the line.
I didn't know that about Rashomon! Since you mentioned it, I listened to the Fantastic Tales version and immediately recognized the advisor from Total War: Shogun 2; obviously I pretended it was the same character given the shared feudal setting
