  1. Wa-ait, who told you about the lockdown beard?
(Just did some digging on that image, and it turns out I've been to the graveyard where he is buried).

Until fairly recently I could have imitated that first pic for Monsters and Manuals, as well. I'm in some exalted company here....

    1. I’m a bit whiskery too due to this marvelous plague-lengthened vacation. Which graveyard?

I’ve shopped around a lot but these are the only RPG blogs I read regularly besides maybe tenfootpole, who I picture as a gruff old ex-cop grognard like Tenkar (or my Advanced Squad Leader mentor here in North Carolina, shoutout Tom)

Goblinpunch and dreaming dragonslayer are on my blogroll mostly as a reminder to delve into them more

Patrick’s probably my #1 go-to but I put him lower as a kind of punchline

    2. That would be Ascension Parish Burial Ground (formerly St Giles and St Peter's), Cambridge. Same place as Wittgenstein is buried.

There is a fair no-nonsense tone and approach from tenfootpole, I can see why you might get that.

  2. If only I was anything like that young and that wealthy.

    1. Is the other one you? I googled "law professor"

    2. No, but I could probably do a decent job as President of the USA, if asked.

    3. Sneaky, sneaky. "In other news, Englishman-turned-potentate swears American vassalage to Queen Elizabeth, invades Scotland with newly acquired colonial troops"
